We’re looking for a highly motivated Commercial Underwriter based in our Auckland office, who is ready for the great leap forward to join our hard-working and fast-growing Schemes Commercial Underwriter team.

You’ll have four years’ experience within the general insurance industry and must have commercial underwriting experience. You’ll need to have excellent communication skills with the ability to engage well with internal stakeholders. Working closely with the Business Development Managers, you’ll be involved with new business, renewals and endorsements on a day-to-day basis, while strengthening relationships with intermediaries.

Helping our business grow and succeed in a challenging and changing environment, you’ll be:

• Ensuring all risks are underwritten and accepted within authorised limits;
• Managing a small portfolio of schemes business and ensuring the renewal of business;
• Instrumental in process improvement;
• Monitoring and analysing trends across renewals and claims;
• Achieving high levels of quote conversion whilst maintaining turnaround time of SLAs.
