At Ando, we’re taking a fresh approach to the way insurance works in New Zealand.

We’re growing rapidly and are seeking two highly motivated professionals who are ready to make a difference and take on the role of EQC Claims Specialist.

You will need to have at least 2-3 years’ experience in claims handling, with interest and experience in dealing with natural disaster/major event claims and the complexities that come with these. You will preferably have understanding of the EQC Act, the Natural Disaster Response Agreement (NDRA), and the application in a claims context. Ideally, you’ll be comfortable negotiating with both internal and external stakeholders, along with an ability to communicate complex information, both verbally and written.

Helping our business grow and succeed in a challenging and changing environment, you’ll be responsible for:

• Managing major event claims in accordance with best practice and within your delegated authority;
• Developing and maintaining customer relationships and customer expectations;
• Developing and maintaining internal and external partnerships;
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement.
